Trees across my state have been getting torn down to build new development. Trees that are crucial nesting areas for Native Birds like Woodpeckers and Screech Owls. After filming these birds in their nesting sites and seeing the trees get torn down i had an idea. What if i could spread awarness on the importance of our tree canopy, make impact by building and installing Native Bird Boxes, and fund it by sending Mail and Art to people that care?

Thats why i started the Shady Mail Series. 📬

My current mail series is about the Trees of Florida. The ones that make you stop and look. From the Red Mangroves in the Everglades, to the bald cypress in Apalachicola I’ll be diving into a new tree each month. In effort to reduce paper waste, 90% of the paper used in this series will be homemade recycled paper. As an effort to help mitigate tree canopy loss in Miami, Ill be building and installing 1 Native Bird Box for every 10 new subscribers! The Goal is to install 100 Boxes around the city by the end of the year!

Every month I mail you a custom envelope with hand crafted artwork inspired by my perspective on life and the things i love doing the most, and a typed letter with a story about the artwork, location and topic being covered that month.
